From Weak Side

  1. Fall to weak side (side with arm in under opponent’s arm)
  2. Fold and pass lapel to other hand/weak side
  3. Bring foot hooks out, one foot pushes on the waist, and the other foot goes across the waist and hooks on the outside waist/leg
  4. Use arm not holding lapel to grab other lapel taut
  5. Pull out slightly and around to choke Variation:
  6. Push foot on waist to turn opponent and sit up
  7. Get foot over shoulder and choke

From Strong Side

  1. Fall to strong side (side with arm in over opponent’s arm)
  2. Bring foot hooks out, one foot pushes on the waist, and the other foot goes across the waist and hooks on the outside waist/leg
  3. pendulum sweep and bring arm grabbing the lapel (on the ground) so that your elbow is behind opponent and very far back

Variation: If Opponent Passes Your Legs

  1. Upper leg steps over
  2. Other leg puts knee behind opponent’s head
  3. Sit back and put leg above shoulder
  4. Finish the choke
