Elbow Knee Escape (Albany): Opponent Is Full Mount On You

  1. Straigten out leg you want to escape

Alternative: Opponent’s foot open

  1. Lay leg flat on the floor

Alternative: Opponent’s feet touching

  1. Use opposite foot to push foot open to create space to lay leg down

Alternative: Opponent’s ankles are crossed

  1. Stick legs out too see which one of them is higher then use opposite foot to push the higher foot open to create space to lay leg down
  2. Turn to side of the leg that is escaping

Alternative: Opponent’s foot is a wedge

  1. If opponent’s foot is a wedge, Step other foot on the other side of opponent’s foot and use your feel to lift up his leg

or

  1. If opponent’s foot is a wedge, Step other foot on the same side of opponent’s foot and use your feel to push opponent’s leg
  2. Slide leg under their foot and past their leg
  3. Enter half guard
  4. Get one hand underhooking body (near belt) and one hand framing bicep to prevent it from choking you
  5. Turn your body the other side and slide out your other foot to get to full guard, you can use your freed leg to pry opponent’s leg open to free your last leg

Grapevine: Opponent wraps legs around yours using their foot to hook in

  1. Turn knees to point to the side
  2. Kick out to the side
  3. brace for the pain
