Mount Escape To Butterfly
- Place hands on opponent’s hip bones
- Put heels as close to your butt as possible
- Bridge hips as much as possible, lifting opponent such that their chest/stomach is by your face
- Lock out your arms to hold opponent up
- Place legs in between opponent’s legs, like butterfly guard
Alternative: Butterfly Sweep
- Extend legs out and sit up to buttfly
- Under hook opponent’s side (starting butterly sweep)
- Place head on other side and cup that side’s elbow/arm
- Lean to the side/should your head is one
- Use the foot from the side you are leaning towards to push off the ground and the other foot, hooking opponent’s leg lefting them up and flipping them
Alternative: Push Them Over
- Wrap your hands as close to their waist as possible and gable grip
- Extend your legs out
- Quickly bring one foot over to your groin
- Sit up and bring your use leg (that you put near your groin) to push opponent forward and step forward to guard pass them to side control
Opponent Goes To The Side:
- Place hands on opponent’s hip bones
- Put heels as close to your butt as possible
- Bridge hips as much as possible, lifting opponent such that their chest/stomach is by your face
- If opponent goes off the the side and tries to maintain mount on the side
- Instead of tucking your legs under, extend your leg to the side and wrap around to single leg X guard
- Grab end of opponent’s pants that you are hooking
- Grab sleeve of arm on the far side of the opponent (opponent should bring other arm closer to shove knee down to get rid of guard)
- Using the leg on the hip, step it to the side and push opponent to their back and get side control
