Butterfly arm crank
- While you’re in butterfly, opponent has a collar grip on your head
- Using your hands, grab opponent’s elbow and tilt it upwards, such that their knuckles are facing your head as much as possible
- Clamp down on their wrist/hand as much as possible with your head and shoulder as if you were answering a telephone
- Put foot on opponent’s hip (side that isn’t clamping) and fall to the side of that foot
- Put other foot on top of opponent’s arm/shoulder
- Squeeze knees (opponent can be tapped at this point)
- Overhook arm that is the same side as the arm on top of opponent’s arm such that the crook of your elbow is on their elbow
- Use last free arm to slowly push down on your own elbow
Butterfly triangle
- While you’re in butterfly, opponent has a collar grip on your head
- If your opponent has a solid grip, swing your same side arm (as the opponent’s grip) up and across
- so your opponent’s arm should be across you with your arm/shoulder holding it in place/blocking it
- Place same side foot on opponent’s hip
- Pivot to the other side
- Place other foot, not on hip, over opponent’s head
- Lock triangle
