Butterfly arm crank

  1. While you’re in butterfly, opponent has a collar grip on your head
  2. Using your hands, grab opponent’s elbow and tilt it upwards, such that their knuckles are facing your head as much as possible
  3. Clamp down on their wrist/hand as much as possible with your head and shoulder as if you were answering a telephone
  4. Put foot on opponent’s hip (side that isn’t clamping) and fall to the side of that foot
  5. Put other foot on top of opponent’s arm/shoulder
  6. Squeeze knees (opponent can be tapped at this point)
  7. Overhook arm that is the same side as the arm on top of opponent’s arm such that the crook of your elbow is on their elbow
  8. Use last free arm to slowly push down on your own elbow

Butterfly triangle

  1. While you’re in butterfly, opponent has a collar grip on your head
  2. If your opponent has a solid grip, swing your same side arm (as the opponent’s grip) up and across
    • so your opponent’s arm should be across you with your arm/shoulder holding it in place/blocking it
  3. Place same side foot on opponent’s hip
  4. Pivot to the other side
  5. Place other foot, not on hip, over opponent’s head
  6. Lock triangle
