Single leg shot

Be Standing knees bend hips forward, almost forehead to forehead with opponent

  1. Collar tie with one hand and with the other grab their tricep (down, not across) and make sure their hand is on the outside of your arm
  2. Step back slightly and pull with the arm grabbing to get them to step forward (the leg that should step forward should be the same side that you are pulling)
  3. Step on the outside of the opponent’s leg, keep head on the inside, pressing against their stomach
  4. Put forward knee to ground (the one you steped forward with)
  5. Wrap arm around the knee, such that the bend of your elbow is behind their knee (hold with gable grip)
  6. Stand up and keep knee to your chest and pinch knees
  7. Turn/Pivot such that they will turn/hop towards their back, you may need to step slightly

Drill: Alternating Legs

  1. Get to step 5 of Single leg shot except the knee that is touching the ground is up and the other leg is out away from opponent
  2. Outter leg steps towards opponent’s other leg
  3. Knee touches the ground
  4. Other foot swings over to other side
    • Maintain pressure on opponent’s body/stomach
    • Release grip around first leg a regrip on opponent’s leg
