Guard pass
- Grab Gi lapel and bunch it together and twist
- Grab Belt and make sure your elbow is between you and oponent’s knee
- Lean to the side grabbing the belt and samurai step to the side, extending your leg to the side grabbing the lapel
- Let go of lapel and push your opponenent’s leg across your leg while sitting and rounding your back (push across the leg that is up, not down the one that the knee is on the ground)
Alternative: Stand up and pull opponent up with lapel
- Step up with the other leg
- Switch lapel grips
- Grab pants from inside knee, let go of lapel and grab the other inside of knee with free hand
- Break guard apart and sprawl back, holding opponent’s knees down
- Go around opponent’s knees and side side control
