Mount armbar
- Put your elbow on your hip to make a frame and hold opponent’s elbow
- Pry opponent’s elbow away from their body and bring it up and across opponent’s face, press down on opponent’s elbow
- Put other hand forward on ground and the back knee by opponent’s head
- Shift front foot such that your pinky/little toe is touching the mat and have your knee to touch the mat (esablish S-mount)
- Get your upper body low and apply a lot of pressure, make sure to be higher up on the sternum, apply pressure with the side of the leg, not the thigh
- Slide hand that was on the elbow under and prepare for armbar, try and get as close to opponent’s bend of elbow
- Step over opponent’s head with the foot that has the knee by opponent’s head
- Use that foot to push off and lean to the side to break opponnent’s grip and finish armbar
Alternative: Under arm
- For extra leverage you can stuff the arm behind yours/ put their arm in your armpit for extra leverage
Alternative: Opponent turns towards the ground
- Do a belly down armbar
Alterative: Opponent turns up
- Regular armbar
