Opponent is in turtle Reversal to backtake:
- Establish seatbelt on opponent
- Adjust the seatbelt so your pull it out and your arm over the shoulder is primarly on top of opponent’s head/neck
- Move towards a north-south position (you don’t need to go all the way but the more you go the easier the reversal)
- Get to your shoulder and roll towards your back
- Your seatbelt should force your opponent to roll due to the pressure on opponent’s head
- Opponent should land on your lap, establish hooks for your back take
Tip over opponent with a very tight turtle (3 options):
- With two hands grab opponent’s farthest elbow/shoulder to remove that base from their turtle and drive forward
- usually done from seatbelt where one hand is from the under arm and the other is from over the shoulder
- Grab opponent’s knee and ankle and drive forward
- Grab opponent’s arm and ankle and drive forward
