Passing De La Riva Open Guard (on leg around your leg, one leg on hip, their hand on your lapel and pants):
- Grip their pants
- Take a step back and drive that leg in between your legs
- Pivot on your front foot and twist opponent
- Slice your knee ontop of opponent’s lower leg
- make sure to keep elbows tight as to prevent them from getting their leg in between your arm and body
- Once your knee touches the ground, get the same side elbow of that knee on the other side of opponent’s body
-you should be hip to hip with opponent
- grab opponent’s sleeve and then square up
Passing De La Riva, opponent establishes knee shield on step 4:
- Use your hand that is outside of the knee shield to grab opponent’s lapel thumb in, crossfacing opponent
- Post your knee shielded hand out over opponent’s head?
- Get your knee on their stomach and use it to pressure them flat so they are facing up
- Circle your elbow around the knee
Opponent essentially turns gets under you, and grabs your ankle:
- you have to make space in between their and legs (basically in their armpit), and then get your knee there, I don’t really remember
